In their mission of forming apostles, Christian leaders at the service of the Church, Legionaries make present the mystery of Christ gathering the Apostles around him, revealing to them the love of his heart, forming them and sending them out to collaborate with him in building up his Kingdom.

Father Michael Shannon, LC, passed away at the age of 70 on March 18, 2026. Fr. Michael had been serving At St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Parish in Cumming, GA. May he rest in God’s peace.
Fr. Eric Nielsen, LC, currently working at St. Peter and St. Denis Parish in Yonkers, NY, is temporarily assigned to support St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Parish in Cumming, GA, until June 30, 2026.
Fr. Mauricio Guajardo, LC, currently in the Legionary Community in Rye, NY, is temporarily assigned to the parish of St. Peter and St. Denis in Yonkers, NY, until June 30, 2026.
Fr. Donal O’Keefe, LC, recently in the Los Angeles community, leaves the territory to join the Legionary community in Cancun, Mexico.
UPDATE FEBRUARY 11, 2026
Fr. Peter Devereux, LC, currently serving as pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Raleigh, NC, is granted a sabbatical year beginning July 16, 2026. A sabbatical is a time of renewal that is part of the Congregation’s commitment to the ongoing formation and integral health of its priests, and we pray that it will be spiritually fruitful and beneficial to Fr. Peter’s future ministry on his return.
Fr. Paul Alger, LC, is currently assigned to assist with ministry at St. Joseph Parish in Raleigh, NC, and will be appointed as temporary administrator of the parish during the sabbatical of the pastor, Fr. Peter Devereux, effective July 16, 2026.
