In Memoriam: Paul Basil Sharpshair

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, following a tragic off-road vehicle incident involving several students from Sacred Heart Apostolic School, Paul Sharpshair, a 14-year-old eighth-grade student at Sacred Heart, passed away from injuries sustained from the incident.  We ask for your prayers for Paul, as well as his family, and for all involved as we accompany the Sacred Heart families, students, and staff in this difficult time.

Paul, a student from Cincinnati, Ohio, had just completed his first year at Sacred Heart. As they grieve Paul’s loss, his parents, Mark and Kristine, and Paul’s 11 siblings, Peter, Augustin, Mary, Sophia, Rose, Josephine, Benedict, Cyril, Philomena, Isabella, and Odilia have expressed their gratitude for the prayers, spiritual support, and closeness they have received from family and friends, including their parish priests from Old St. Mary’s Church, as well as the Legionaries of Christ and Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi from the Cincinnati area.

While the loss of Paul is painful and difficult, we join the Sharpshair family in placing our hope in the promise of the Resurrection, and in the eternal and powerful love of our savior Jesus Christ whom we ask to welcome Paul into the light of his face and the joy of heaven.
