Father Florencio Sánchez, LC, was born on October 11, 1951, in Mexico City. He studied at the Cumbres Institute and joined Regnum Christi in July 1969, then and consecrated his life to God on April 13, 1975 as a Lay Consecrated Man. Shortly afterward, he joined the Legion of Christ, where he made his perpetual profession on October 8, 1981, in Rome. He was ordained a priest on August 20, 1983. He studied Actuarial Science at Anáhuac University in Mexico.

He holds a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University. Since 1983, he has served in Madrid as director of the Regnum Christi young adults section (1983-1991), the women’s section (1991-2000), and the adult sections (2015-2018). He was the superior of the Conde de la Cimera Legionary community from 1983 to 2012.

He served as the chaplain of Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid from 2004 to 2010. as well as director of the adult sections of Regnum Christi in Madrid and superior of the La Cota Legionary community in the same city.
