From March 28 to April 5, Br. John Frain, LC, and Br. Maximilian Nguyen, LC, two American seminarians currently studying theology in Rome, supported the Regnum Christi locality in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, during the Holy Week missions. They were joined by Br. Alexis Ortiz, originally from Mexico.
Together with Fr. Dain Scherber, LC, who is from Minnesota and now lives and serves in Abidjan, the brothers visited Regnum Christi families, blessed their homes, and prayed with them. Additionally, they shared moments of Eucharistic adoration and testimony at the Highlands School, collaborated with the Missionaries of Charity, participated in sessions of the local RC Council, and provided support in various parishes in the city.
There were also opportunities for fellowship with local priests who are RC members or supporters of Regnum Christi.
Although Regnum Christi in the Ivory Coast remains a developing reality as a direct extension of the General Directorate, the brothers remarked that it is full of possibilities and could benefit from the support or participation of several territories.
