Program Coordinator for Pastoral Care: Abby Saunders

The Legionaries of Christ in the North American Territory announce that Abby Saunders, has been hired as the new Program Coordinator for Pastoral Care, and will begin her work on April 25, 2022.

Abby Saunders grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned a BA in Criminal Justice in 2020 from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. While at Mercyhurst University, Abby took multiple courses about victimology, psychology, and law. Her senior year included a semester-long internship at The Crime Victim Center of Erie County, where she gained first-hand experience with victim advocacy, prevention education, and safe environments.

Since graduating, Abby has worked in childcare, which reinforced her belief that every human is valuable and should be protected at all costs. As the Program Coordinator for Pastoral Care, Abby will apply her academic knowledge of victim advocacy with her job experience in childcare to create a healthy environment for children and adults and provide educational resources for others to create safe environments.
